D&P Classic Chevy recently completed a complete restoration/modernization of a 1969 Camaro for California Angel baseball player Vernon Wells. The goal was to build a fast, comfortable dependable muscle car that fun to drive. In order to achieve this goal D&P installed a GM Performance LS3 crate engine along with a 4L65e 4 speed automatic transmission. Like wine some cars get better with age. That's the case with the "modernized" 1958 Chevy Corvette owned by D&P customer Steve and Kate. They have owned the classic Vette for decades but recently decided they wanted to upgrade their prized vette and make it safer, faster and more fun to drive. As a non-number matching example it made sense to make her more modern. D&P inherited the Vette after another shop was not living up to Steve's expectations.
